Karnad's Contribution.
Karnad is widely known as playwriter as well as a hero of kannad films, Hindi films and also a director. As earliar mention ha wanted to be a poet but his skills made him s successful playwriter. Thogh his literary work is scanty, it is noteworthy.His plays, written in kannad, have been widely translated into English and all major Indian language. All his plays rooted in Indian mythology and history, at the same time convey a strong and unmistakable Western philosophy sensibility. They are based on myths and folk-lore.The plots of his novels , charecterisation, language and style of presenting them in impressing.
